There is a common but wrong perception that Caribbean children with learning challenges are simply slow. 

It's quite the contrary: learning challenges relates to a broad range of factors that adversely affect a child's ability to learn in traditional fashion.

Children with learning challenges learn differently -- faster, slower, through alternative stimuli, via different methods or examples. Some are gifted, some may take a bit longer to understand certain concepts, some are dealing with other issues, but they all learn differently.

It is the mission of Love of Kids to act as a home base through which Caribbean children with learning challenges are enabled to learn and compete on equal footing with others. Our site has resources and information that can directly affect the life direction of thousands of Caribbean children, and we take our mission very seriously.

Indeed, millions of people with learning challenges go on to achieve great success . . . and thousands achieve fame and fortune in an infinite variety of careers, just like people who learn "traditionally."
